Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to support BC Metalworks and BC Customs LLC, offering a variety of tasks from architectural fabrication to military vehicle production. This role provides opportunities for wage growth based on demonstrated capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and flux-core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Fabricate from shop drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Layout, cut, grind, drill, and assemble components to tolerance.
• Operate shop equipment including band saws, ironworkers, plasma cutters, drill presses, and grinders.
• Build architectural railings, gates, and structural weldments for BC Metalworks projects.
• Fabricate vehicle frames, subassemblies, armor plate, and mounting hardware for SXV platform production.
• Perform finish work including weld dressing, prep for powder coat, and assembly.
• Maintain quality standards and inspect own work against drawings and specs.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and in good working order.
• Collaborate with shop lead and general manager on project sequencing and priorities.
• Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and occasional field install support.

Requirements

• Demonstrated MIG welding experience (weld test required).
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience with basic fabrication layout and measurement.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ornamental or architectural metal fabrication background.
• Structural, automotive, or military vehicle fabrication experience.
• AWS certification(s).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD shop drawings.
• Forklift experience.

Additional Information

• Starting wage is determined by weld test performance and verified experience.
• Work location is in person.
