Overview

SP Marine is an aluminum boat manufacturer located in Bremerton, WA, specializing in high-end custom aluminum fishing boats for recreational and commercial use. They are currently seeking an Aluminum Boat Welder/Fabricator.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld preparation using proper material cleaning processes.
• Conduct aluminum MIG finish quality welding.
• Fit-up aluminum parts during construction.
• Understand manufacturing time constraints.
• Communicate and receive instructions from the welding supervisor.
• Work safely while being mindful of the safety of others.
• Fabricate with aluminum using standard industrial equipment.

Requirements

• Aluminum welding experience.
• Welding experience on similar vessels.
• Knowledge and ability to keep track of parts and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and on teams.
• Must communicate professionally and effectively.
• Ability to provide own welding helmet and basic air tools.
• Basic math skills using decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read dimensions on drawings.
• Welding experience is a big plus but not required; strong technical skills are important.
• Ability to maneuver in tight places and use stairs/ladders daily.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Standard work day is from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.
