Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for weld all types of trawls doors and other products to required specifications, contributing to the creation of high-quality structures and equipment while ensuring adherence to safety standards and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lays out material according to required specifications for each job.
• Fits and assembles material according to required specification for each job.
• Welds, punches and drills holes and cuts material according to required specification for each job.
• Maintains and tunes welding machines.
• Works with N.C. Cutting machine operator to assure parts are cut and ready for fabrication.
• Maintains and stores all jigging fixtures.
• Follows safety rules and ensures that hazardous waste is disposed properly.
• Maintains shop area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Performs all job duties within Corporate quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Three years welding/fitting/fabricating experience.
• Ability to read prints and translate into fabricated products.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
• Ability to operate and maintain all types of welding machines.
• Ability to weld all types of metal.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
