Overview

Metko, Inc., a family-owned business in the custom metal and tank fabrication industry, is seeking to hire a full-time Welder for either a 1st or 2nd shift opening in New Holstein, WI. The company emphasizes current proficiency in MIG/mild steel welding principles.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures.
• Conduct MIG (and possibly TIG) welding on multiple surfaces including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including a robotic welder.
• Produce quality metal-fabricated parts.
• Follow instructions on work orders and blueprints.
• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Complete accurate documentation as required.

Requirements

• Proven MIG/mild steel welding skills with 1+ year of current MIG experience preferred.
• MIG and/or TIG welding experience on stainless steel or aluminum is a plus.
• Prior experience with robotic welders is a plus.
• Successful completion of a welding curriculum from an accredited technical college is a plus.
• Ability to read or learn to read welding blueprints is desired.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable, self-motivated, team-oriented with adept communication skills.
• Proven safety and quality record.
• Detail-oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance.

Additional Information

• 1st shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and 2nd shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Training for this position will take place on 1st shift.
