Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all work meets safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble components.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and other welding techniques to join various metals according to ASME codes & standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
  • Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
  • Set up and operate rigging equipment such as cranes for lifting heavy components safely during assembly or installation.
  • Fabricate ductwork, pipe threading, sheet metal components, and other structural elements for construction or manufacturing projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with additional welding preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, rigging operations including crane use, soldering techniques, and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience with blueprint reading essential.
  • Valid certification in welding (such as AWS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
