Overview

The Welder position at WM involves applying appropriate welds to fabricate or repair compactors, containers, and carts under general supervision. The role offers a stable work environment with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes.
• Repairs compactors, containers, and carts.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and diagnostics on electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Conducts safety checks on compactors and containers.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software.
• Assists senior welders in project work.
• Performs service calls for compactor repair.
• Performs related work such as flame cutting, bending, and forming of metal and plastic parts.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Requirements

• 2 years of previous experience in welding.
