Overview

The Fabrication Shop Welder position involves performing MIG welding on various materials while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment. The role requires collaboration with team members and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Consistently MIG weld in all positions on carbon plate, structure, and pipe.
  • Achieve and maintain all required welding certifications.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as drilling holes, moving materials, and loading trucks.
  • Effectively operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Collaborate well with people at all levels in and out of the fabrication shop.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Maintain the Lee Mechanical Contractors’ (LMC) reputation.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

  • Welding experience or related coursework.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
