Overview

Worlds of Fun is seeking a Full-Time/Union Welder to join their Maintenance Team, which is essential for ensuring the safe operation of park rides. The ideal candidate will have a passion for welding and mechanical work, contributing to the maintenance and repair of various attractions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of rides to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate concerns to supervisors and make necessary repairs.
• Log and document all safety checks and repairs.
• Perform general mechanical work using hand and power tools from blueprints or verbal instructions.
• Fabricate and repair as directed by supervisors.
• Provide guest service according to Worlds of Fun standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 21.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years of related experience in commercial mechanical, welding, and weld inspection.
• Knowledge of GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW welding processes.
• Ability to pass a 2" and 8" 6G steel pipe welding performance qualification.
• Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to work at heights of up to 310 feet.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
