The Band Weld Operator position at Stanley Black & Decker involves setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to produce finished band saw blades. The role is based in East Longmeadow, MA, and is part of a global company known for its commitment to quality and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain automatic band cutter and welders.
• Cut coil stock to proper size for welding.
• Adjust welding machine clamps for blade specifications.
• Perform visual checks for weld quality and alignment.
• Use grinding equipment to remove welding flash and shape blades.
• Maintain clean and functional welder jaws.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to use numbers including decimals.
• Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting 5 to 25 pounds.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
