Responsibilities

• Layout and weld metal components used in manufacturing.
• Fabricate flatbed truck bodies and other products by reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Perform MIG welding on steel and/or aluminum parts in various positions.
• Fit and tack components using jigs or by hand to ensure correct alignment.
• Cut and prepare materials using oxy-fuel torches, grinders, plasma cutters, or saws.
• Use hand tools, clamps, and fixtures to hold parts in place during welding and assembly.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and quality; rework as needed.
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Complete job documentation including time tracking, inspection forms, and production logs.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of welding experience.
• Proficient in MIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring tools.
• Basic knowledge of fabrication equipment and safe operating procedures.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of lifting and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
