Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling stainless steel tanks with precision and efficiency, contributing to innovative manufacturing projects that drive our success forward.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using various welding processes.
- Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating or warping.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure for conformance with specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to shape and fit tanks.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
- Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux according to specifications.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
- Operate equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
- Fabricate custom tanks by cutting, bending, and assembling based on schematics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience working with metal structures or fabrication projects.
- Hands-on experience with welding processes; familiarity with welding preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and machining equipment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly techniques, and ductwork fabrication is desirable.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices is a plus.
