Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for performing GMAW tack welding, torch cutting, and layout operations to assemble steel components for final welding. This position plays a key role in ensuring structural accuracy and weld quality throughout the fabrication process at Chief Industries, a company with a reputation for manufacturing quality products since 1954.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality control standards and maintain required AWS certifications.
• Assemble steel frames through precise layout, tack welding, and final welding.
• Operate assigned equipment with a thorough understanding of its capabilities and relevant welding codes.
• Accurately complete all job-related documentation and data entry.
• Work effectively in elevated temperatures while wearing layered personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Create a collaborative, safe and hazard-free environment driven by employee involvement.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and skilled in blueprint reading.
• Committed to working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.

• 1st Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm
• 2nd Shift: 7:30pm - 6:00am
