Overview

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII and the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi, is seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join their team. The company has a rich history of constructing naval ships and offers a rewarding career for skilled tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
• Work in a shipyard environment that may involve different heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions.
• Adhere to safety procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience.
• Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned.
• Experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
• Ability to pass military standard X-Ray welding test on stainless steel and copper nickel in the 6G position.
• Ability to pass a military specification welding assessment in vertical (3G), horizontal (2G), and overhead (4G) positions.
