Overview

Yancey Bros. Co. has served as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia since 1914, providing high-quality sales, parts, and service. The Lead Welder will be responsible for welding fuel tanks and aluminum stud frames while assisting management with workflow and training.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point person on the shop floor for welding fuel tanks and aluminum stud frames.
• Assist management in leading the Welders on the shift.
• Use MIG welding techniques to weld aluminum stud frames, walls, and roofs to create enclosures.
• Weld all secondary and supporting components for the enclosure.
• Assemble and weld walls around fuel tanks.

Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in MIG welding (work/hobby/volunteer).
• Light and medium gauge fabrication experience.
• AWS Certification.
• Certified Flux Core welder.
• Technical Degree or Certification.
