Overview

Underdog Kustomz is hiring an Automotive Metal Fabrication to restore classic automobiles. They are looking for candidates with custom automotive experience and not accepting applications from those without it.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate automotive knowledge.
• Set up, process, and maintain fabrication, machining, and welding equipment.
• Consistently and precisely TIG weld Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Mild Steel.
• Perform MIG welding.
• Form and weld sheet metal of various gauges and materials for custom vehicles.
• Perform standard shop math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
• Utilize core welding and fabrication tools to weld, cut, trim, or scarf metal objects.
• Inspect raw material and finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Work with various gauges of sheet metal and materials.
• Set up fixturing and weld parameters accurately.
• Cut and bend material to required specifications.
• Position, clamp, and jig components for welding.
• Identify and repair cracks and fill holes in materials.
• Familiarity with rust repair and panel replacement.
• Make recommendations for upgrades to the shop manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ years experience in the classic, custom automotive industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Adhere to health regulations and utilize safety equipment.
• Ability to work 7am-6pm Monday-Friday during high production times.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing and walking for long periods.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees.
