Overview

ATS has an opening for a highly-skilled Welder to support Science & Technology Code X. The position involves working on rapid prototype assignments alongside Engineers, focusing on welding and fabricating metal components to create tools and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Review specifications for welding projects.
  • Lay out metal components for fabrication.
  • Cut, fabricate, and weld metal pieces together.
  • Conduct tests to check weld quality, including hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
  • Complete jobs within specific deadlines and to specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of professional welding experience preferred.
  • MIG Welder Certification a must.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and plans.
  • Experience producing templates and work aids.
  • Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws and hand shears.
  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
  • Working knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
