Overview

The company serves a diverse commercial and military customer base from its Global EMI Shielding Technology Center located in Tampa, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of welding preparation, processes, and finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer specifications.
• Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment to join edges of work pieces.
• Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols.
• Apply knowledge of wire and filler materials for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
• Set up fixtures and weld parameters such as amps and volts.
• Utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
• Follow quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
• One year of experience in various forms of welding preferred.
