Overview

We are a well-established, family-owned trucking company on Oahu looking to hire an experienced Shop Service Technician / Fabricator Welder to support our diesel fleet operations. We need someone who can step in, take ownership of the work, and contribute immediately.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on diesel trucks
• Handle oil changes, greasing, tires, wheel seals, and bearings
• Conduct brake inspections and adjustments (DOT compliant)
• Perform welding and fabrication
• Diagnose minor mechanical issues and assist with repairs
• Review driver pre-trip inspections and prioritize repairs daily
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving abstract
• 1–2 years of experience required (diesel, fleet maintenance, or welding)
• Welding proficiency required (MIG & Stick)
• Experience with diesel trucks/heavy equipment preferred
• Understanding of DOT compliance and fleet maintenance standards
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs
• Reliable, detail-oriented, safety-focused
