Overview

The Welder position involves welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals using GMAW or Resistance Spot Welding processes. The role includes setting up welding machines, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals using GMAW or Resistance Spot Welding processes.
• Set up and maintain welding machines and related equipment.
• Load parts in fixtures and perform welding and cleanup.
• Operate robotic or cobot welding equipment as needed.
• Grind welds as required.
• Follow directions from the Supervisor.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum score of 15 on math worksheet or 18 on Wonderlic test.
• 1 year of production welding experience or training is required.
• Completion of Vo-Tech welding program or equivalent is preferred.
• Completion of physical agility test is required.
• Passage of drug test is required.
• Passage of pre-employment weld test is required.
• 3 years of production welding experience using MIG welding process is preferred.
• Prior weld certifications are a plus.
• Blueprint Test Score of 8 is required.
• Minimum Weld Symbols Test Score of 4 is required.

Additional Information

• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
• AWS D1.1 Certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
