Overview

Phoenix Modular Elevator is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fabricator/Metal Worker to join their growing team. The role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling steel components for modular elevator systems, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate metal parts.
• Use various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding, including FCAW, ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards.
• Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts for material handling and assembly.
• Cut pipes using threading tools and assemble ductwork, piping systems, or structural components.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Requirements

• Prior construction site experience or manufacturing background preferred.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, soldering, and press brake operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; experience with rigging is a plus.
• Understanding of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices.

• Hours are 5:30 am - 4 pm Mon-Thu with possible overtime on Friday and Saturday.
