Responsibilities
- Develop a work plan for fabrication and finishing processes.
- Read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances and welding symbols.
- Ensure overall quality of welding work including distortion and dimensional control.
- Wear personal protective equipment in the plant.
- Participate in required safety training.
- Speak up about unsafe conditions.
- Be fully trained in crane and fork lift safety.
Requirements
- Verify that work meets required quality standards.
- Participate in visual work instructions development.
- Coordinate with Grinding & Polishing for QC tracking.
- Handle materials safely and protect material finishes.
- Perform preventative maintenance on welding tools and equipment.
- Maintain calibrated equipment for quality verification.
- Participate in QC and continuous improvement processes.
- 5 years experience with stainless steel MIG and/or TIG welding.
- Fabrication knowledge and ability to make sub-assemblies.
- Knowledge of distortion control and straightening.
- Ability to measure and handle measuring equipment.
- Material handling and crane operation skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
