Responsibilities

  • Reads prints and locates piece parts.
  • Sets up operational parameters on the weld machine and monitors the process.
  • Welds fabricated, cast, stamped, and pressure bearing components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.
  • Completes first article inspection before starting run.
  • Monitors product quality using required gauges and inspection criteria.

Requirements

  • Looks for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts.
  • Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  • Reads, understands, and follows the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner.
  • Shuts down process if unsafe.
  • Follows proper machine shutdown procedures.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be dependable and self-motivated.
  • Able to contribute to and support a positive work environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to the operations of the machinery.
  • Must pass Manchester Tank & Equipment's weld certification requirements.
