Overview

hth companies is an industrial services provider offering mechanical insulation, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, and various other services across the Midwest. The Pipefitter will configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, ensuring their smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems.
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes.
• Operate tools and machines to grind, mill, and shape raw materials.
• Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions.
• Gather equipment and materials for the job.
• Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes.
• Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets or clamps.
• Install various types of pipe covering and safely remove old coverings.
• Inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks.
• Coordinate with manager to schedule machinery maintenance and repairs.
• Comply with safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
• Assist with jobsite safety to comply with OSHA regulations.
• Champion a positive workplace and safety culture.
• Perform various other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to problem solve and develop solutions.
• Follows directions of manager and clarifies responsibilities.
• Respects self, co-workers, managers, and clients.
• Adaptable in methods used to complete tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways regularly.
• Ability to observe conditions and stay alert.
• Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10 hour within 60 days of starting.
