The Welder position in Salem, IN involves various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture Kimball products according to drawings and specifications. The role requires proficiency in assigned welding techniques and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology.
• Apply knowledge of wire, filler, and brazing materials for various steel alloys and aluminum.
• Utilize working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters.
• Use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Maintain welding equipment.
• Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met.
• Wear all required PPE.
