Overview

The Welder - Nights position involves reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to perform welding tasks on various metals. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience or current enrollment in welding classes, with a focus on safety and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements.
  • Assemble, fit, and tack weld parts in accordance with engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and written work instructions.
  • Use weld gauges to verify proper weld size and interpret tolerances.
  • Weld a variety of metals, including galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Read and accurately use a tape measure.
  • Test and inspect products in accordance with established inspection procedures.
  • Operate fork trucks, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a MIG welder or currently attending classes for Welding Certification.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and squat for the duration of the scheduled shift.
  • Willingness to submit to and successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check.
