Overview

Hyperion Solutions is a technology driven vertical transportation solution provider seeking an experienced Welder to join their team at the Richmond, IN plant. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional welding services that ensure the structural integrity, safety, and quality of various elevator products.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks with meticulous attention to detail to meet or exceed established procedures and specifications.
• Use various hand tools, push carts, and machinery to stage work area.
• Adhere to assigned production schedule and meet or exceed daily production targets.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures to assemble products to meet quality standards.
• Inspect parts for defects or irregularities to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal team to determine root cause of problems and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Help leadership identify areas of improvement to establish or adjust work procedures and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 12 years of experience with MIG Welding preferred.
• Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as a tape measure.
• Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Able to provide personal welding helmet.
• Prompt and regular attendance required.
