Overview

Afinitas, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a global leader in equipment and systems for precast concrete infrastructure. They are hiring 2nd Shift Fabricators to work in a manufacturing environment focused on innovative solutions for concrete pipe machinery and form equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret basic drawings, route sheets, specifications, and instructions.
• Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment.
• Perform basic saw operations and painting as required.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units for defects.
• Assist in detecting defective material and report to supervisor.
• Complete necessary documentation for quality and production.
• Participate in team meetings to resolve cost, quality, or production issues.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and interpret basic blueprints and specifications.
• Beginning level grinding knowledge.
• Beginning level experience in MIG, TIG, and flex core welding.
• Team oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment.

Benefits

Additional Information

• Works Monday-Thursday for 10 hour days.
• 2nd shift is from 2:45pm-12:45am.
• Shift differential of $2 an hour.
