Overview

ALMACO is seeking Advanced Welder Fabricators who enjoy working independently on metal assemblies in a friendly team atmosphere. The role offers variety, flexibility in work hours, and opportunities for advancement while focusing on high-quality fabrication for agricultural research equipment.

Responsibilities

• Construct metal sub-assemblies for agricultural research equipment by performing bench welding and fabrication assignments.
• Use hand and power tools such as saws, shears, grinders, and small presses to prepare metals.
• Read prints, drawings, work orders, and written instructions to plan and lay out work with an emphasis on safety and quality.
• Clean and grind welds to prepare materials for assembly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced welding and 'free hand' fabrication skills in MIG and TIG.
• Ability to pass 3G and 4G (Limited) welder qualification per AWS D14.3 Standards in GMAW-P process.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and building equipment with minimal repetition.
• Record of dependability and cooperation in previous work environments.
• Ability to effectively operate a wide range of hand and power tools.

• Work schedule flexibility of 40-50+ hours per week.
