Overview

The CNC Robotic Welder is responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding machines to ensure quality standards in welding processes. The role includes performing MIG welding and requires passing a qualification test within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain robotic welding machines.
  • Receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Load fixtures with parts and manually tack.
  • Move tacked weldment to robot station.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and program as required.
  • Complete work orders and associated paperwork accurately.
  • Operate overhead crane to maneuver parts safely.
  • Communicate regarding parts requirements or quality issues.
  • Perform preventative and unplanned maintenance of fixtures and robotic welders.
  • Maintain attention to detail to adhere to quality standards.
  • Perform standard MIG welding as the production schedule dictates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Math, geometry, measurement and basic PC skills.
  • Ability to read orders and tape measures.
  • Able to read and understand basic blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools & equipment.
  • Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and understanding of equipment safety.
  • Dependable and punctual.
