Overview

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Pre-Fabrication Electrician/Welder in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves working in a Pre-Fab Shop to perform installations, welding, alterations, and repairs of electrical systems within the commercial electrical construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, welding, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems.
• Measure, layout, hang, thread pipe, solder/braze pipe, and set mechanical equipment.
• Work from all types of ladders.
• Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain Master Inventory List of all materials inbound and outbound.
• Keep shop supervisor apprised of inventory levels per respective assignments.
• Advise Project Managers, Superintendents, Service Technicians, and Estimators of material order statuses.
• Travel may be required.

Requirements

• 2 years recent related commercial electrical experience or equivalent education.
• 2 years welding experience preferred.
• Experience reading fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers and MS Office for data entry and tracking materials.
• Experience bending pipe and running various types of conduit preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check and MVR check when required.
