Overview

Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. The General Maintenance - Welder role involves repairing and maintaining plant equipment while promoting safety and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the plant including screen changes, conveyor belt repair, and welding.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Monitor and review various aggregate processing areas to identify problems and ensure compliance.
• Document and maintain service and lubrication reports for plant equipment.
• Perform general physical activities to assist with plant operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and in all types of weather conditions.
• Must have some knowledge of industrial tools and their maintenance.
