Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Welder- Technician IV for the 2nd Shift. The position offers a competitive hourly rate along with a shift differential and is eligible for a variable incentive program.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and perform metal joining and cutting operations on ferrous and nonferrous metals.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment by adhering to safety policies and performing 5S duties.
  • Maintain expected job progress and communicate issues appropriately.
  • Work from manufacturing information, sketches, drawings, or prototypes.
  • Weld parts using proper machine settings and fabricate fixtures to support the welding process.
  • Manually position components for complex structural assemblies.
  • Ensure quality by measuring finished parts and performing visual inspections.
  • Follow detailed instructions to maintain structural integrity of welds.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot welding equipment issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Welding certification in basic welding.
  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous sheet metal fabrication experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints and manufacturing diagrams.
  • Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Experience with ERP systems, including DMM and AS-400.
  • MIG welding certification.

Additional Information

  • The position is for 2nd Shift, with core hours from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am.
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC.
  • Active-duty military service members are exempt from the geographic limitation.
