Overview
The Assembler/Welder at Wedlake Enclosure Systems in Tulsa, Oklahoma, supports the fabrication and assembly of enclosure components through basic welding and mechanical assembly tasks. This entry-level position is designed for candidates with 0-3 years of experience and emphasizes foundational skills in welding and assembly while ensuring safe and efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Assist with structural welding on enclosure components by following drawings and trained welding procedures.
- Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting panels, installing hardware, and preparing components for welding or final assembly.
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine weld and assembly requirements.
- Support material movement and positioning using overhead cranes or rigging equipment.
- Perform visual weld inspections, report defects, and assist with rework under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety and PPE requirements.
- Assist with setup and teardown of welding and assembly workstations.
- Work with team members to meet daily production goals and keep work flowing efficiently.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience in welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
- Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Welding certifications (AWS, ASME) or welding/technical school coursework.
- Experience with overhead cranes or rigging is a plus; training will be provided.
- High School education required.
