Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our team and contribute to our manufacturing and construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication tasks, interpret detailed schematics, and utilize advanced welding techniques.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and other welding techniques to join various metals with precision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and ductwork components.
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools; perform basic math calculations for dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
- Fabricate custom parts by machining or pipe threading as required; solder or perform mechanical assembly tasks when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols aligned with ASME codes & standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication.
- Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, and Field welding with the ability to produce high-quality welds consistently.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, ductwork fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and machining processes.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, mechanical assembly, soldering methods, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately; comfortable working with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding codes and construction site protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
