Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Aerospace Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling precision structural components used in aerospace tooling and assemblies, while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex aerospace blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Locate and interpret stock lists and bill of materials on engineering drawings.
- Prep, layout, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies to exact specifications.
- Perform tack welding and final welding of components and assemblies.
- Weld in flat, vertical, and horizontal positions using TIG and MIG processes.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using approved aerospace welding techniques.
- Perform precision fitting, alignment, and adjustments to meet tight tolerances.
- Construct structural components from raw materials in accordance with aerospace standards.
- Operate fabrication equipment to saw, miter, and fit components.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace damaged or non-conforming components.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and ITAR requirements.
- Follow all quality control procedures and documentation standards.
Requirements
- TIG and MIG welding certification required.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed aerospace blueprints and GD&T.
- Proficient with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Ability to concentrate and maintain accuracy over extended periods.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- 2+ years of fabrication or welding experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with aerospace materials like aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium is a plus.
