Overview
The MIG/TIG Welder position involves setting up welding machines, interpreting blueprints, and performing MIG and TIG welding on steel and stainless components. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Sets up welding machines based on the job at hand.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
- MIG and TIG welds steel and stainless components according to blueprints.
- Sets up welding cell for production runs.
- Ensures parts are properly checked for quality and signed off.
- Performs necessary inventory transactions as required.
- Keeps work areas clean and organized and takes proper care of all equipment.
- Follows all assigned duties from Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Provides attention to detail and focuses on tasks.
- Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years welding experience.
- Welding Certification from an accredited training facility.
- Pass an in-person welding test for TIG and MIG welding.
- Must be dependable and cooperative.
- Ability to read tape measure.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to read weld symbols.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Basic math skills, including fractions.
- Ability to work regular schedules set by Management.
