Overview

Ironworkers Local Union 568 is accepting applications for Ironworker Apprentices to join their Registered Apprenticeship Training Program. This program offers a hands-on, earn-while-you-learn opportunity for individuals seeking a long-term career in the skilled trades.

Responsibilities

  • Structural steel erection and bolting
  • Welding and cutting
  • Rigging and crane signaling
  • Reinforcing steel (rebar) installation
  • Reading blueprints
  • Working at heights using fall protection

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED with transcript required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently
  • Ability to work safely at heights
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screening
  • Preferred: Construction, mechanical, or welding experience
  • Preferred: OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
