Unite Contracting Solutions is seeking experienced structural / ship fitters with 5 years of verifiable experience in Chalmette, Louisiana. This permanent, full-time position involves working at a fabrication shop and requires passing a blueprint reading test.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components using fitting techniques.
• Perform quality control checks on welds.
• Maintain all required equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment with the welder.

Requirements

• Proficient in blueprint reading and fabrication techniques.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate cranes and forklifts.
• Familiarity with rigging and welding.
• 5 years of experience as a Structural Ship Fitter.

Additional Information

• Hours of work are 8 to 10 hours daily, Monday to Friday.
