Overview

Sunstate Mechanical Services is seeking a Construction Sheet Metal Installer to perform technical work and customer service related to HVAC systems. The role involves fabricating and assembling metal structures, retrofitting components, and operating various tools and machinery across job sites in the Phoenix Valley area.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures based on blueprints and specifications.
• Retrofit sheet metal components.
• Operate various tools and machinery such as forklifts, Cleat formers, Bar Folders, Shears, Roll Former, Band Saw, Rotary Machine, Flangers, notchers, and welders.
• Have a basic understanding of HVAC items that need to be built.
• Install, alter, fabricate, and repair sheet metal products, equipment ducts, and hoods for HVAC systems.
• Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal components.
• Teach apprentices.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle history check.
• Must be able to speak English for safety reasons.
• Must have your own tool kit.
• A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Additional Information

• Shift: 8am-4:30pm (Hours vary based on job site).
