Overview

The MIG Welder/Fabricator role involves applying basic MIG welding processes to join automotive components, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. The position requires collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Applies basic welding processes (MIG) to join automotive components.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.
  • Prepares weld surfaces properly.
  • Follows written instructions, sketches, and weld schedules.
  • Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Evaluates product quality for continuous improvement.
  • Fits welded assemblies.
  • Works under direct oversight.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of work router operations and sketches.
  • Familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning and engineering blueprints.
  • Mathematics relevant to job functions.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lead by example regarding quality and workmanship.
  • 3+ years of custom fabrication experience.
