Overview
The MIG Welder/Fabricator role involves applying basic MIG welding processes to join automotive components, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. The position requires collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Applies basic welding processes (MIG) to join automotive components.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.
- Prepares weld surfaces properly.
- Follows written instructions, sketches, and weld schedules.
- Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Evaluates product quality for continuous improvement.
- Fits welded assemblies.
- Works under direct oversight.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of work router operations and sketches.
- Familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning and engineering blueprints.
- Mathematics relevant to job functions.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to lead by example regarding quality and workmanship.
- 3+ years of custom fabrication experience.
