Overview

We are looking for a welder – fitter. This person should be an intermediate to advanced welder able to weld in position and out of position including overhead, vertical up, and vertical down, with experience in fitting and squaring weldments for our weld out team.

Responsibilities

• Read and review prints.
• Identify and confirm the accuracy of material types and specifications.
• Work with supervisor to modify or adjust fitting techniques for out of specification materials.
• Initiate appropriate rework as needed.
• Perform in and out of position MIG welding.
• Operate assorted hand tools.
• Handle materials and identify them.
• Prepare materials through grinding, beveling, and surface cleaning.
• Conduct quality control inspections.
• Maintain general factory organization and upkeep.

Requirements

• Ability to read drawings / manufacturing prints.
• 2+ years weld shop / metal shop experience.
• Mechanical assembly skills.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Availability Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm.
• Excellent attendance.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Computer competent.
• Strong problem solver.
• Ability to carefully read, review and follow detailed written instructions.
