Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Structural Steel/Iron Workers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining structural steel components that form the framework of buildings and other large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring that all structures are built safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, rigging equipment, and power tools safely.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers and micrometers.
- Use basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, angles, and material quantities.
- Perform routine inspections of work areas and completed structures for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with team members on pipe threading, ductwork installation, and mechanical assembly.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on steel or ironwork projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and fabrication machinery.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and structural fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, machining processes, and soldering.
- Competency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, scaffolding, or other lifting devices safely.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
