Overview

The Sheet Metal Foreman position at Sunstate Mechanical Services involves leading a team in commercial sheet metal work across the greater Phoenix area. The role includes teaching apprentices, managing productivity, and ensuring safety compliance while fabricating and installing HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach apprentices and provide leadership.
• Manage daily labor and productivity with clear objectives.
• Adhere to and enforce safety policies.
• Listen to employee concerns and guide towards resolutions.
• Report all work-related injuries and complete required reports.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely.
• Safely operate a company vehicle during work hours.
• Inventory and track all products delivered to job sites.
• Monitor and track materials on backorder.
• Mark-out/layout all systems and products as per contract documents.
• Maintain all on-site project documentation.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures based on blueprints.
• Operate various tools and machinery for sheet metal work.
• Install, alter, fabricate, and repair sheet metal products for HVAC systems.
• Perform welding techniques to join metal components.
• Lead and manage the job with moderate support from project management.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must pass a motor vehicle history check.
• Must be able to speak English for safety reasons.
• Must have own tool kit.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Additional Information

• Shift: Monday – Fridays 8am-4:30pm (Some Saturdays dependent on job site).
• Location: 2507 W. Erie Dr., Suite 103 Tempe, AZ 85282. Job requires traveling across the greater Phoenix Area.
