Overview

HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division is the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining naval vessels. The Pipefitter Regular Apprentice position involves completing a 6000-hour program to learn about complex piping systems aboard naval ships.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a 6000-hour apprenticeship program.
  • Learn to read blueprints.
  • Fabricate, install, inspect, and test piping systems aboard ships.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or have completed your GED.
  • Provide original high school or GED transcripts.
  • Provide any college or vocational transcripts or certificates.
  • Provide a driver's license or state ID.
  • Provide an original social security card or form from the Social Security office.
  • Provide an original birth certificate.
  • Provide DD214 if former military.
