Overview

The MIG/FCAW Metal Fabrication Technician is responsible for interpreting blueprints and welding specifications to fabricate high-quality components using MIG welding techniques. This role requires proficiency in various fabrication equipment and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and welding specifications to plan builds.
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, torches, and essential hand tools.
• Fabricate parts using press brake machines and move assemblies safely with cranes.
• Handle machining and rigging tasks as needed to complete jobs on time.
• Solder and perform pipe threading when projects call for it.
• Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and processes; FCAW knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications with accuracy.
• Experience operating press brakes, overhead cranes, and other fabrication equipment.
• Familiarity with soldering and pipe threading.
• Solid basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Sharp attention to detail with a track record of producing quality welds.
• Problem-solving mindset; able to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.

• The second shift welding position is advertised as 4 ten-hour days.
