Overview

Welder I is responsible for performing basic welding tasks under direct supervision. This role is ideal for those with foundational welding knowledge and a willingness to learn advanced techniques, focusing on quality and safety while assisting in welding projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic MIG and TIG welding on assigned materials.
• Assist senior welders with preparation and fitting workpieces.
• Follow established procedures and specifications to produce quality welds.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in basic welding techniques or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Strong willingness to learn and improve.
• Basic understanding of MIG/TIG welding.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or overtime when needed.
