Overview

Waste Connections is seeking a Welder for a full-time, long-term position in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves welding, fabricating, and repairing compactors, and requires a self-motivated individual with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and repair of trash/compactor containers and trash trucks metal repair.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks and work as a team.
• Work hours as required.

Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma drivers license.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
