Job Description
Overview
The Pipefitter position is part of the Pipefitter Shop within the Facility Management Service at the VA Loma Linda Health Care System. The role involves repairing and maintaining various piping systems and requires the ability to read blueprints and interpret related instructions.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain water, sewer, steam, natural gas, medical gas, and fire sprinkler systems.
- Repair and install domestic water systems and fire sprinkler system piping.
- Repair valves, regulators, filter systems, toilets, sinks, and associated piping.
- Perform plumbing and steam fitting work necessary for equipment installation.
- Assist with the installation and repair of mechanical pumping systems.
- Have knowledge of medical gas systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
