Overview

The Pipefitter Supervisor (Pipefitter Foreman) is responsible for supervising and training inmate workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems related to the Steamfitter/Pipefitter trade, ensuring public safety and security within the institution.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains inmate workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems.
• Maintains heating systems, high and low pressure steam systems, coal and ash handling systems, and auxiliary steam equipment.
• Ensures professional maintenance of piping and related equipment for housing units and supportive buildings.
• Maintains security of the institution as a primary responsibility.
