Overview

The Welder position involves welding of conveyor components at Terex Corporation, a global industrial equipment manufacturer. The role requires compliance with safety regulations and participation in lean manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabrication in barrel of fabrication department
• Compliance with all Safety rules and regulations
• Utilize and embrace lean manufacturing activities and other cost reduction activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must be able to work assigned shift and overtime as needed, including weekends when necessary

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Mig and stick welding vocation training desired but not required
• Must pass internal welding test
• Must be able to read a tape measure and read blue prints
• Must be able to use air, power and hand tools, especially a torch and grinder
• Must be mechanically inclined

Additional Information

• 1st shift: 6am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs) with expected overtime on Fridays
• Physical requirements include standing, crouching, and bending for 10+ hours a day
• Lifting maximum of 40 lbs, overhead crane is used for larger items
• Work environment is a factory, high noise area with exposure to elements and chemicals
